Why Cowboy Boots Will Remain Popular For the Foreseeable Future

There have been releases already of what is hot and what is not in some designers' 2010 spring and summer collections. It is widely agreed that cowboy boots were not being highlighted and showcased. They have been replaced by stilettos, sandals, high-heeled shoes, and other types of footwear. For some odd reason, the designers deliberately eliminated western boots. However, just because fashion designers in London and Paris do not currently fancy this particular boot style, that does not mean they are not popular among consumers.

Cowboy boots can accompany your feet at all times and all year-round. They are made to function for all seasons. In particular, many Hollywood celebrities know how to use traditional and modern western boots to compliment even the most expensive designer dress or attire. These superstars are often seen having the same fashionable cowboy boots, although with slightly varying designs, with various adorns but of similar quality- highest quality.

While western boots traditionally refer to a specific type of riding boot, today most people wearing them have not even been close to a horse. Cowboys hardly exist anymore, at least not in the traditional sense, but cowboy boots have outlived the people that used to wear them. Traditionally they will have high heels, rounded to pointed toe, no lacing, and a high shaft. Normally they are also made from leather, typically cowhide, but other more exotic types of leather are also used. For example, you may find western boots made of ostrich, alligator, snake, elephant, eel, sting ray, elk, buffalo, and even rarer types of leather.

Therefore, although cowboy boots were not highlighted in fashion shows this year, do not worry about them disappearing anytime soon. They have been around for hundreds of years already, and will continue to be popular even after today's fashion designers are long gone and forgotten.
