Are You Little Miss Multiple?

1-2-3 Or can you go for 4?

If the above doesn't describe your sex life read on, little miss multiple.

Let's daydream for a moment. You're in the shoe department at Nordstrom. It's their half-yearly sale.

Your super- spotter- shopping endorphins begin to kick in.

You've spotted the cutest ballet flat EVERRRRRRRR and your closing in.

You think "I'll buy the white. Can't go wrong-so practical-goes with everything. Do you stop there? As if- you aren't satisfied yet! (they're on sale!) Gosh the turquoise are fun and oh look Fuschia!

You stop and ask yourself: What would Audrey Hepburn do in Breakfast at Tiffany's or Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the city? Your heart begins to beat faster- like hot boy fast.

You decide Holly Go Lightly and Carrie would ABSOLUTELY buy all 3. Umm! They probably wouldn't but YOU think so.

You go to the register- ring up FAST- 3 pairs of ballet shoes richer. (or is that poorer?) Oh sorry we're still daydreaming.

In the car on your way home you compulsively think of the many outfit combos you can make and how you're totally set on shoes now.

You congratulate yourself. What a deal 3 pairs of the SAME shoes for the price of one. You're so smart!

Do you hear the needle on the record scratching right about NOW. You've just committed the act of multiples in the wrong space.

Here's how this story REALLY ends.

White-goes with everything you own-you wear em all the time. Turquoise SOUNDED like fun, but you have no idea what to wear them with.

Oh and the fuschia- you chicken out each time you put them on. Now both turquoise and fuschia flats never see the light of day. Sound frighteningly familiar?

Babe, not only did you not SAVE money- you need an intervention. Take this women's wallet away.

Enter- STYLESPY!

If you're buying multiples of any item besides underwear- you're wasting money mommy.

Has anyone told you there's subliminal messages in the lighting and music at your favorite shopping spots? Gasp!

These messages say "Buy Me-Buy 3 of me" it isn't even your fault.

The recession is your intervention. Sometimes restriction can be your biggest teacher.

Are you thinking "oh crap, Barbra's right!" You know that Theory sweater set you have in 3 different colors- the Balanciaga handbag you had to have in both navy and orange? Big fat waste of money.

Take a moment now and put your hand on your heart and repeat after me? There's only one place for mulitples-there's only one place for multiples.

I pinky promise you will never wear one as much as the other. You're attempt at being practical is actually down right wasteful.

How you shop is IMPERATIVE right now.

Tips to Avoid Multiples

When you buy more than one item over and over, chances are you are doing the same throughout your whole wardrobe which only means Snoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-same wardrobe x3.

If you must buy more than one of anything, make it a staple for your wardrobe. Jeans and trousers no problem. Buy one for heels - one for flats. Burn your basics into the ground each season.

If you think you have to have both. Buy one then wait 30 days. I guarantee you won't even remember let alone go back. If you think I'm crazy take the money you would have spent on the second and third duplicate- put it in the bank or under your mattress (might be safer).

Take these tips with you every time you're at a cash register. Guaranteed you'll never buy multiples again.

The Development of the Men Wear's Concept

From the birth of clothing to nowadays, we can know that the history of clothing is so long. Clothing has its own design in each age. These designs come from the concept of designers. In the meanwhile, dressing concepts of people come from these designs as well. Therefore, they are affected by each other. Now I want to introduce the development of menswear concept for you.

Firstly, menswear is an expression of social statue. In feudal age, clothing was the most important way to divide class. Louis was a king who advocated luxury. He used exaggerated dress to strengthen the power of the royal family. He stipulated that common people can not dress exaggerated clothes. In China, ancient robes were strict with color and pattern. People of different official positions wore different kinds of robes. At that time, officials used their official robes to distinguish the rank.

Secondly, it is the birth of gentleman. Low key and others-centered are the principle of gentleman. What is more, they abominate the complex and extravagant dress of nobles. Therefore, a pair of sharp patent-leather shoes, a white shirt and a cylindrical hat can show the temperament of men.

Thirdly, menswear developed in the age of dandy. At that time, French poet Charles Pierre Baudelaire and England writer Oscar Wilde loved beauty so much. Baudelaire groomed himself for 2 hours in bathroom every day while the aestheticism can be seen in the life of Wilde as well as his writing. Men liked to primp themselves impelled the development of menswear. What is more, menswear impelled the development of menswear concept.

Fourthly, it is time to go to Hollywood to tidy up wardrobe. After two world wars, America developed quickly. Hollywood rose abruptly at that time. Idols, especially men idols, were popular with common people. Dress of men idols became the most important impetus of fashion. No matter gentlemanly clothes or sexy dress, they all could lead the tendency of fashion.

Fifthly, menswear led a Newman tendency. From 1980s, men began to pay more attention to their dress. Neutrality appearance was popular with men. More and more brands were accepted by men. Therefore, men began to change their dress creatively. This change was called as Newman by European media.Nowadays, Newman was instead of Yuppies. Although mainstreams think that Yuppies were in the name of sissy, Yuppies do not care about that. They still go their own ways. They lead fashionable tendency.

These are the main concepts of menswear. After my introduction, do you know more about that?

How a Silk Tie is Made - The Process

THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS

The finest and most impressive ties are intrinsically unique. The seven-fold tie is one of the purest designs used in quality necktie construction. Consisting of just the silk material folded in on itself to form the body and finish of the tie. It is an aficionados dream. The subtle feel and drape are un-matched. These ties however are very expensive and beyond the reach of most individuals.

The tie we see most commonly these days is still a hand crafted involving at least 40 separate stages to form the final result. Most of these steps are done by hand regardless of the size of production.

THE QUALITY

The Quality of the silk is the first consideration to the creation of a great necktie. You often hear the term "Italian silk" and make the common assumption that the silk is from Italy. This is not the case. Italy does not produce Silk. Asia is the worlds supplier of fine silk, Thai silk being some of the best in the world.

The precision of the cut, the stitching and the quality and the cut of the interlining are also very important. What is commonly found in most ties is a weighted brushed polyester usually between 250-450 grams. The higher the number the thicker and stiffer the feel of the tie. The thickness of the silk fabric varies little. All of these facets play a big part in the quality of the finished product as well as the cost.

THE CUT

The tie fabric has to be cut on the bias for it to work well as a tie material. What this means is that the fabric has to be cut at a 45 degree angle to the grain of the weave. This makes the material flexible and allows a person to tie the tie with ease and helps to maintain its shape. Very important if you want to look good in your tie. Any variation to the angle would result in the tie loosing its straight fall and after use, loosing its shape. Not a good thing.

THE JACQUARD FABRIC

Jacquard fabrics are woven on a pattern-control loom. They have to be cut individually to ensure that the pattern motifs do not coincide with the tie ends, since this heightens the risk of their fraying out.

Individual cutting also guarantees the precise placing of striped patterns: a detail that the connoisseur will appreciate. The cloth for mass production is prepared on machines that slice through more than 100 layers at one time.

BASIC ASSEMBLY

The tie begins in two pieces. Which are hemmed on the bias in one of the few mechanical operations in the "hand-made" necktie process. The joint at the neck, or piecing, is pressed flat to eliminate neckband bulk where is would inconvenience the wearer.

INTER-LINING AND SILK FINISHING

Good lining, expertly cut, is the foundation of the superior necktie. It has been traditionally made of pure wool cut on the bias. These days as we have mentioned its more commonly brushed polyester. Apart from forming a firm foundation, it ensures that the tie retains its shape. The silk shell is then wrapped around the lining and pinned in place every few inches, in an operation comparable to basting in tailoring.

SLIP STITCH AND FINISH

In this crucial step, the main seam which forms the tube of the tie is completed by hand. Resilient construction is dependent on the loose, even stitching. The slip-stitch, as it is called, is sewn firmly onto the front and loose at the back to maintain elasticity. This is a little masterpiece of artistry. A form is inserted to ensure precisely shaped ends. Pressing is done by hand to avoid a flat dead look.

Five Pieces of Women's Clothing That Should Be in Your Wardrobe

A lot of women in the UK have wardrobes that are bulging at the hinges, as they are packed full of various different types of clothes. If you are one of these women and were told that you could keep only a handful of items, the following 5 pieces of women's clothing should be at the top of your wish list to keep.

1. Jeans. Possibly the staple item in any women's wardrobe around the world today, whether you're 15 or 55, jeans will probably play a bigger role in your daily fashion than you probably realise.

One of the reasons why jeans are such a popular piece of women's clothing is that they are so versatile. You may only think of them as casual wear for going into town, but with the right accompanying items, they can be suitable for everything from a meal in an up market restaurant to an evening in a casino. In fact, unless the dress code for a specific event is 'formal attire', you will generally be able to team jeans with something in your wardrobe to make a suitable outfit.

2. Little black dress. So you come in from work and your partner reminds you that you're going to their black tie work's dinner, but you've forgot and haven't bought a new outfit. What do you do? Simple; rely on your little black dress.

You're rushing around trying to get the whole family washed, dressed and ready for your relative's wedding. You haven't had time to buy a new dress but need something that looks good and is formal enough for a wedding. The answer? Your little black dress.

Just as versatile as jeans, a little black dress can be called upon in almost any formal setting and will always look fantastic.

3. Black trousers. There are two 'work' clothing items every woman should own and a pair of black trousers is the first of the two. Working in exactly the same way as they do for men, throwing on a pair of black trousers instantly makes you exude a certain degree of business formality.

In addition to business, they can also be used for everything from meetings with your bank manager to a night out with work colleagues, not requiring for you to take a whole new set of clothes with you to work.

4. White blouse. The second of the two necessary 'work' clothes items, a white blouse is the perfect accompaniment to black trousers. Carrying out exactly the same roles as mentioned above, a white blouse covers almost any role you can think of when looking at formal wear, without wanting to look too dressy.

5. Trench coat. The classic trench coat is one of the most reliable pieces of women's clothing that you can own. Suitable as a light jacket in spring but often warm enough to be used in autumn and through to early winter, the trench coat not only looks fashionable, but can hide any fashion faux pas you might have made underneath.

The Purpose of Wearing Leotards

Mostly to gain perfection in dancing, most dancers use various kinds of accessories and costumes. Various props are also used by the dancers, to make the dance look more appealing. In order to look more appealing and to allow optimum movement the dancers usually use a special fitted costume. This is used by both men and women, comes in many designs and is skin tight. Of course, this garment is the leotard.

But leotards are not only used by dancers. These costumes are also used by gymnasts, acrobats and athletes. These people require a lot of freedom of movement from their clothing. In order to get this they need to wear those costumes which do not impede movement and which emphasize the skill and perfection of moves.

Leotards come in various styles and colours. Some fasten with zips for ease of dressing and others just slip on. The materials used mean that the garment can stretch to be pulled on before returning to their proper shape once in position.

Most of the leotards available come without sleeves or legs. However, a legged version is readily available if required. These are called unitards. As with other leotards, it is possible to find them with and without sleeves.

Today you can find plenty of companies offering you whole new ranges of designs. Many novice dancers prefer to select cheap dance wear to start out, but once you build up skill it may become necessary to be more fussy. It may be advisable to search for a well known, trusted brand who can offer good quality, good fit and style. This does not only apply to the leotard, but many other dance items including shoes, tutus, dresses and warm ups, not to mention undergarments.

Since their creation in the late 1800s, leotards have gone through many variations in terms of looks and style. These costumes were originally used for circus performers like their creator, Jules Leotard. Later on, the uses became more varied. As time went by, the materials used became more and more advanced, making the leotard even better suited to athletic sports.

These days you will get find both traditional and new styles of leotard readily available for purchase. The internet is a great resource which many have at their fingertips. You can browse hundreds of sportswear stores until you find what you are looking for, though it is best to use well known websites which are easily contactable by phone or email in case of any problems. Always make sure that the website is secure and that it has a reasonable postage and returns policy. Though the internet is a great place to search for value dance wear, it can also reveal numerous special offers and discount prices on brands which dancers and athletes know and trust.

So if you are into dance or sport, then why not shop for one of the most practical garments for your sessions - the leotard - on the internet for great quality, value and convenience.

Looking For Different Places to Find Fashionable Women's Clothes? Check Out These 3 Helpful Hints

No one could doubt that the high street is one of the best places to find the latest in fashionable women's clothes trends. Various different shops sell their own styles of the most up-to-date fashion items and they are constantly updating their clothing ranges to ensure that they can offer the best products to their customers.

For some people, though, these high street shops do not suit their style. They could be more individual and want something a little different or they might simply struggle to find a piece of clothing that looks good on them from a high street store.

If you're a person like this and are bored of the high street, then have a look at these 3 options for different places to find the most fashionable clothing items of the moment.

1. Charity shops. OK, so items that have just come into the high street fashion limelight may not be able to be found in charity shops, but there are some absolute steals to be had if you have a broad mind and a bit of an imagination.

A perfect example is the boyfriend blazer that is so popular right now. If you wanted one, you could head down to any women's clothes shop on the high street and pick one straight off the peg, instantly pulling this style off.

Some people, however, want something that makes them not only fashionable, but individual and charity shops offer the perfect opportunity to do this. Just because it doesn't have a designer label on it doesn't mean it can't be fashionable (though a lot of items in charity shops are designer labelled goods, so it might be worth checking out your local store regardless of what you're looking for).

2. eBay. Since being launched on 3 September 1995, eBay has taken the world by storm over the past 15 years and reported revenue of 8.727 billion US dollars in 2009. Offering a copious amount of products to people all over the world, eBay is one of those places where you can head to and practically guarantee that you'll be able to find the item that you want. Regardless of whether the piece of clothing is in fashion now or was popular 30 years ago, chances are eBay will have it.

3. Specialist clothing shops. General women's clothes shops selling the latest high street trends are available on any major high street throughout the UK. However, if you're looking for something a little different, whilst remaining fashionable, then take a look at specialist clothing shops.

Obviously, it would be helpful to know what type of clothing you're after to be able to know which specialist store to look for, but even if you only have a vague idea, then it's still worthwhile looking.

For example, if you've been on the continent and seen several women's clothes inspired by local traditions, maybe the light but fashionable fabrics and cuts that are found in Italy, then a search engine should be able to return a few different specialist retailers selling these dedicated clothes either in your area or online.

What Are the Meanings of Doctoral Gown Colors?

To graduate from your university for any degree you will need to wear a doctoral gown and the doctoral gown colors are important for letting people know what you have just graduated in and also the level you are qualified in. For example a PhD uses the royal blue colors, but there are various different industries that also need to be represented for the PhD's.

When you look at the PhD for engineering you will find that a bachelor or masters degree would mean that you have to wear an orange hood to represent engineering, but if you get your PhD you would still wear the royal blue, but an orange piping would be added to show that this was for engineering. There are many different colors standing for each type of degree.

These colors are necessary for you to wear and when you graduate you should look at the different places where you can order these from online or locally. You should give them about 8 weeks or longer to make it up for you, as there are lots of measurements and customizing that will have to be done to ensure that it is perfect for your ceremony.

When you are looking at buying your gown you should make sure that you order the correct doctoral gown colors, but sometimes the school which you attend will also want their colors on the robes. They often order the gowns for you.

You should take advantage of this and send in your measurements so that you can get your gown in plenty of time. Once you have ordered your robes you will also have to look at the graduation cap you want. Most of the piping and hood detail as well as the cap tassels and extra width on the sleeves can be additional extras.

Stuck For What Women's Clothes to Wear in Summer 2010? Check Out These Tips For Style Inspiration

Trying to keep up with the latest fashion trends can be anything but easy. What you read online or in a magazine is often out of date by the time you've had chance to wear it, meaning that not only can staying fashionable be time consuming, but it can also be extremely expensive, too.

If you're struggling to know what women's clothes to buy for summer 2010 or are simply trying to be as organised as possible, check out these hints and tips on what is expected to be big in the fashion world over the coming months.

1. Nude colours are definitely in. Think neutral pastels. Beige, browns and peaches might not make you stand out from the crowd in terms of their vividness, but you'll be turning heads in nude coloured women's clothes for the simple fact they are going to be the staple colour of any item in the summer fashionista's wardrobe

2. Whilst nude colours are the trend of the summer, they can a little drab and not summery enough for some, so don't be afraid to make your outfit stand out more by accessorising. Tribal prints are without doubt the way to go here and as long as you can associate words along the lines of 'Africa' or 'cultural' with it, chances are it's going to be suitable

3. Bigger is better this summer, so think about buying a few jumpers or tops that are a little bit bigger than you would usually go for. It might be too warm to wear them during the day, but they're ideal for when you're outside on an evening and the sun has gone down, ensuring that you're fashionable almost 24 hours of the day

4. Although it was considered to be a major fashion disaster in previous years, double denim is back in vogue this year - but only if you do it right. It's important here that you don't just try and team any two denim items together, especially if your top and bottom are the same colour or shade. Aim for a bit of contrast, such as a dark pair of jeans coupled with a lighter shirt (in a bigger size than normal; remember point 3)

5. Blazers seem to have been mentioned on every fashion list, regardless of the season, for at least the past 2 years and summer 2010 is no different. It's not a particularly common thing for a piece of women's clothing to stay in fashion for so long, but the blazer has done it and it is sometimes said to be due to its versatility.

If you're planning on purchasing a blazer for this summer, there are just 2 rules that you have to abide by. Firstly, always buy the blazer one size too big, to give that chic boyfriend look and always roll the sleeves up. Take note of these 2 points and regardless of the colour or style of the blazer, you'll pull of the boyfriend blazer look easily.

What You Need to Look For When Buying the Perfect Evening Dress

There will no doubt come a point in your life as a woman that you will need to wear an evening dress to a formal occasion and all of the women's clothes that you have in your wardrobe simply don't suffice.

When an occasion like this arises (and it's highly likely that it's going to arise at least a handful of times throughout your life), there's only one thing for it and that's to go shopping for a brand new evening dress. Whilst this may all be well and good, how exactly do you choose the perfect evening dress for you?

The first, foremost and primary point that you have to be fully aware of is your body shape. Some clothes suit all body shapes, such as relaxed fit jeans or standard v-neck t-shirts. Other clothes, however - evening dresses included - require for the wearer to think a lot harder about their body shape, so to be able to choose the most appropriate evening dress for them.

The reason behind this is evening dresses are one of those pieces of clothing that people first notice about the person when they walk into room, generally before they realise who the wearer is. Therefore, as first impressions are everything, it's important to be sure that the dress you are wearing is suitable and makes you look the best that you possibly can, something which is easily done once you understand your body shape.

For example, for women who have an apple body shape, generally having broad shoulders, a big bust and carrying a little extra weight around the mid section, they would be much more suited to a dress that has a plunging neckline, rather than something which either cuts off just underneath the breasts or has a high neckline.

Plunging or low necklines are useful for women with a larger upper body figure as they give the impression that the overall body is slimmer and they also attract people's attention to the neck and away from the stomach, something which is helped further if wearing a large, attractive necklace.

If you find that your body shape is the converse to an apple (known as a pear body shape), you want to be looking for a dress that helps make your upper body look bigger. Something with wide shoulder straps would be a great place to start, whilst having a dress that doesn't separate your body into two equal sections at your stomach would also be a good way forward.

Whichever body shape you are, it's important that the evening dress you buy accentuates the positive parts of your body perfectly and draws attention away from the sections that you aren't too happy about. Whether it's tapering in above your hips to show off your slim waist or having a high split up your leg (something which is particularly fashionable in summer 2010) to show of those slim, tanned legs, simply make sure that you are properly accentuated and you'll have the perfect evening dress for any suitable occasion.

Christian T-Shirts Are a Billboard For Christ

Christian t-shirts are a great way to share the message of Christ. We all share what we believe through what we wear. If we wear suits and business clothes then we are sharing our no nonsense attitude about business, order and career. When we wear casual clothes we are often showing the fun side of ourselves, the creative side and even our likes and dislikes. Tee-shirts are often a billboard for expression and Christian tee-shirts can be a billboard for Christ.

Christian tee-shirts are not the only shirts used to advertise. Tee-shirts are sold at all stores such as Gap, Old Navy, Christian retail stores, even eBay and many other popular casual cutting edge clothing trend stores. Most of the tee-shirts that are purchased are actually advertising the name brand of the clothing or the name of the store. The purchaser of the tee-shirt is paying the store for purchasing a shirt that will further advance the stores future sales and business. This is a great way for stores to advance in the marketplace and to get word of mouth advertisement not only for free but through the actual purchase of customer. The customer is then announcing to all that they pass by that they prefer clothing purchased at the store that is named on their tee-shirt. The tee-shirt basically becomes a walking billboard for that store. Your Christian tee-shirt can advertise Christ to others.

Christian tee-shirts are a great way to advertise the light and hope offered through Jesus Christ. The tee-shirt is able to express the truths about Christ that mean the most to you. Passer-bys will read your tee-shirt and be given the ability to read a scripture based truth that may impact them to reach out and accept the gift offered through Jesus Christ of salvation. Jesus already purchased eternal life for us and that gift is being left unaccepted by many who simply have not been impacted in the moment of need with the truth and hope of Christ.

No product with a Gospel message is as POWERFUL as you are! When wearing a Christian tee-shirt you are wearing an image that vividly shows the love of Christ. So simple, yet so powerful. You are a walking, talking, billboard for Christ. Remember, the average tee-shirt is read over 3000 times before it reaches the rag barrel! That is why we want to never underestimate the power of something as simple as a message on a cotton tee-shirt!

Many of us have a hard time witnessing with our spoken words, but without saying a word a simple Christian tee-shirt can impact the heart of an unbeliever and give them the hope that they need to believe in Christ as their deliverer and help. Your Christian tee-shirt will advertise the love of Jesus for all. Some tee-shirts could say, "The Bible is not a fairy tale - accept Jesus and you will live Happily Forever After! And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also... John 14:3" or "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13." Christian tee-shirts are a great way to proclaim the most important person in your life, Jesus.

Wearing the Skull Balaclava Instead of a Mask

During the colder months, many people wear balaclavas to keep out the cold while participating in the many outdoor sports of fall and winter. Sports from hunting to snowmobiling all require warmth and comfort during the cold weather. The design of the balaclava is especially for warmth. But they no longer have to come in plain colors or camo. Now you can appear more daunting and scary in a skull balaclava.

The balaclava can come in a half face or full hooded style. The half face simply covers the bottom half of your face and usually secures in the back with Velcro. The hooded version covers the entire face along with covering the head as well. Since so much of your heat is lost from your head, the full hooded balaclavas are ideal for sports where you don't wear a helmet like during hunting.

The half balaclava design has the lower half of the skull screen printed on it. Basically from the nose down, you will have a skeleton print instead of your bare skin showing. This is a really cool look and quite eye catching on the trails or slopes. They are generally made from neoprene and keep the face very warm, preventing chapped and windburned skin as well as frostbite.

The full hooded skull balaclava has the entire skull face printed in it, giving the appearance of a skeleton face instead of your own. This will cause people to give you a second look as you go riding or skiing by. The face part of these is generally neoprene also while the rest is typically made from knit material, like a winter knit cap. These balaclavas also come down, protecting the throat area from frostbite and other damage.

If you are looking to stand out while out hunting, riding the trails or on the slopes this winter, one of these skull printed balaclavas will be a great addition to your gear. Instead of a boring, plain face covering, you will stand out and maybe even startle a few people while you're at it.

4 Essential Women's Clothing Items For the Beach in 2010

Staying fashionable throughout the year can be either particularly easy or extremely difficult, depending on what season it is. Autumn and winter are often seen as the easiest, as you can cover up more to hide any fashion faux pas, whilst summer is regularly seen as the most difficult, as you tend to wear as little clothes as possible, but try to remain as fashionable as you can.

If you are heading to the beach this year and are stuck for what women's clothing to buy, have a look at these 4 tips to ensure you are continuing to wear the latest fashion trends all throughout the year.

1. One strap bikini. Most women would agree that the most traditional form of bikini is the one with two shoulder straps, followed closely by the halter neck variation. Whilst you can still get away with wearing this style throughout the summer, if you really want to stand out from the crowd on the beach in 2010, choose a bikini that only has a single strap.

Contrary to what you might initially think, these bikinis are just as supportive as their two strapped varieties and are widely available all throughout the high street and online. Spend a little time looking for the colour or pattern that suits you best and you'll be well on your way to bringing a piece of the cat walk to the beach.

2. Cutaway monokini. Monokinis are usually chosen by people who feel that bikinis are just that little bit too revealing, as they help to cover up the stomach area. In 2010, however, monokinis with cutaway fronts, sides and / or backs are the way to go, but are only really suitable for those women who have a slim enough figure to get away with having parts of their body - usually the areas where extra weight accumulates most - shown off.

3. Hot pants. One of the most fashionable women's clothing items of spring and summer 2010 is the hot pants and generally speaking, the shorter they are, the better.

Unless it's likely that you're going to get a lot of negative press if you don't where exactly what's in vogue this year, there's no real rule on the colour or exact style for hot pants in 2010. Do what you feel works best for your outfit, whether that's plain colours or prints, standard size or particularly short, always working to accentuate your bum and legs.

4. Loose shirts. If you're down on the beach in your one strap bikini or cutaway monokini and are about to head to the restaurant for lunch, chances are you will need to cover up, even if it's just a little bit. The perfect way to do this? Throw on a pair of hot pants as mentioned in point 3 and team it with a loose fitting shirt.

The boyfriend look is dominating the style trends this year and has developed from the simple boyfriend-blazer into a more overall look, with loose shirts helping work the look extremely well.

Always remember to roll the sleeves up to your elbows and don't be afraid to go for a denim shirt, especially if your hot pants are denim, as the double denim look is particularly fashionable this season.

8 Fashion Tips For 2010

Planned months (if not years) in advance, each year's fashion trends are determined by what is seen on the catwalks. This year is a real mixture of different fashion items, with these 8 tips helping you to become the ultimate fashionista in 2010.

1. Wearing denim may have been popular for years, but now double denim is particularly popular once again. Team up a pair of dark denim jeans with a lighter denim top for the ultimate double denim look

2. Scarves are definitely in at the moment, but don't feel that you have to wear them in the traditional sense. Style them into a more prominent clothing accessory with a small knot behind your neck and a large piece at the front, across your chest. You could even consider accessorising your accessories by attaching a colourful scarf to a darker handbag

3. Bigger is better in most styles this year, so don't be afraid to buy a jacket or jumper in a larger size than you normally would or even trousers that are wider than you usually wear

4. Received with mixed emotions, whether you like them or not, shoulder pads are back in fashion. Although not appropriate for women who were plus size clothing, as they can give the effect that they are larger than they are, expect to see a lot of high street retailers including shoulder pads in their jackets (and even dresses) this year

5. Blazers are so in fashion and have so many benefits that it's hard to understand why anyone wouldn't want to own one. Not only can they make you look slim, but when wearing a blazer that is slightly too big for you with the sleeves rolled up, you are well on your way to pulling off the boyfriend blazer look perfectly

6. Floral was popular in 2009 and has been successfully carried through into 2009. Aim for more of a chic, relaxed, casual look this year, matching a floral print dress with a pair of boots and matching belt. Top off the outfit with a hat for the ultimate in summer style

7. Previous fashions in recent years may have been focused heavily around bright and bold colours and prints (such as in point 6), but 2010 is definitely the year of nude colours. This is not to say that a splash of colour or vibrant print isn't good, but try and make your outfit mainly a mixture of browns, creams and beiges and spice it up with an African-style printed scarf or similar accessory

8. Nautical was without doubt the fashion style of spring and summer 2008 and although you could still get away with wearing some items styled from the navy, we're moving from the sea to land in 2010, with military styles being big at the moment. Consider traditional army greens and browns for the colours, in items such as tailored, buttoned jackets and wear with an oversized shirt and either trousers or short shorts. Finish off the outfit with a less military focused piece of footwear, such as a pair of heels or strappy sandals.
