Updating Your Wardrobe Doesn't Mean Spending an Arm and a Leg

Seasons come and go, and you wardrobe should as well. It is common for us to put our old season clothing back into the closet, pick our new clothing out, and then head down to the local store to purchase new and fresh clothing.

You should not spend any money though until you look over your wardrobe, and determine what could be reused. Sometimes we don't even realize that parts of our old wardrobe can be made into some type of new accessory.

First off, before you even out one shirt or pant in your closet, you should take all of your previous season wear and clean it. There may be invisible dirt and stains on your clothes that will certainly show up next time you pull them out.

It is also a great idea to repair any flaws within your season wardrobe before putting them away. This will reduce the transition time next season, and ensure your clothing is of the highest quality. It is also a good idea to keep a few clothes from your previous wardrobe out in case the weather changes at all.

Once you have done that, you should take your entire wardrobe out for the upcoming season. Examine the clothing and determine if there are any fixes you need to make.

After you have finished any and all repairs, you should take a look at your clothing and figure out whether they are out of style or not. If they are, think of any ways you can enhance their image. An excellent example is hemlines. If they have risen, you may want to go ahead and hem some of your skirts or dresses to make them look more up-to-date.

Replacing your o0ld buttons with new ones is also an effective way to make your clothing trendier. This can be done with a simple visit to the craft or sewing store, and you may just be surprised at what other things you can find there that will improve your wardrobe.

As long as you have a creative and flexible personality, you will be able to avoid a trip to the clothing store completely and ultimately save more money.
