Fashion Rules

Fashion has its own set of rules when regarding what is hot and what's not and how to organize your clothes so they actually match. Of course there are many rules of fashion especially when ranging from one individual to the next but there are several tips that you can follow in order to keep a well organized and classic wardrobe. However, being different is acceptable as long as your fashion statement describes who you are.

You should avoid clashing colors together. Neutral colors such as white, brown, black, beige, and gray often look good with almost anything but other colors only work with specific pieces and should be avoided being worn together. It's okay to be a bit more daring when working with your colors but wearing colors and designs that obviously clash is a big fashion no no. Choosing colors that fit together or that make a statement without being too bold is acceptable but wearing colors that make you look like a giant art board will ruin a good thing. Choose shades that are close to your own natural skin color which will help to keep the blending natural looking.

You should only wear bright jewelry later on in the evening or at night because the sun may damage them is a myth. You can wear bright pieces as long as they match your outfit and compliment you instead of making you look like a reflector. Simple pieces of jewelry such as lockets, ankle bracelets, small strands of pearls, silver and gold chain necklaces, and other pieces similar are just the touch you often needed to complete the perfect outfit.

Makeup is another big part of the fashion world as long as it's worn properly. Less is definitely more in this area. You want to appear as natural and fresh looking as possible. Make up can be great for covering up blemishes, freckles, pimples, and other unwanted spots on your face such as uneven skin colors but by overdoing it you look as though you stuck your face in a can of paint. In order to be fashionable you need to choose makeup that helps to enhance your natural beauty and features without making you look like a clown. Choose shades that are close to your own natural skin color which will help to keep the blending natural looking.

Play around with different types of makeup to highlight your lips and eyes since they are often two parts of your face that draw in attention automatically. Choosing simple colors for your lips such as pinks, browns, light red, and beige can give a touch of color and softness to your lips.

Fashion is about making a statement and being different while keeping some of the same old style at the same time. To be fashionable you don't have to follow the crowd but make them follow you. Bring something new to each outfit that you wear and show off your best features in a way that makes everyone else want to be just like you.
